Maintaining the top spot among automobiles in Australia it the Ford Falcon. This vehicle has had its humble beginnings in 1960 and this has been manufactured by the Ford Motor Company in its many automobile factories in the U.S., Canada, Argentina, Mexico, and Chile, as well as other countries the world over. At present, Australia is the only place where the newest Ford Falcons are being built and assembled. If all numbers in sales were combined and added up around the world, it could be assumed that the Ford Falcon is one of the biggest names that have made it big in the automobile market.
Looking back at how the Ford Falcon started, history has it that this vehicle has been introduced with the Chrysler Valiant and the Chevrolet Corvair. These three vehicles, the Ford Falcon included, were introduced as compact cars. This was done so because during that time, the larger vehicles were not making much anymore and American wives and women were trying to locate smaller and cheaper cars for themselves for they found the large and bulky cars quite burdensome and awkward. Studies in the market also showed that the consumers were quite vying for a vehicle that was not so bulky and were far more inexpensive than the ones already out in the market. The Ford Falcon was the Ford Motor Company?s answer to this automobile preference change.
The Ford Falcon when it was first introduced had its power taken from a 2.4 liter engine that was small and very lightweight. It also was made available in two trim levels which comprised of sedans with two or four doors, station wagons also with two or four doors, and a car-based pickup. The vehicle also had a unibody construction as well as a fairly standard suspension. The vehicle also included coil springs in the front and leaf springs in its rear. The Ford Falcon was quite capable of taking in a maximum of six passengers in its interior and cabin.
There were a couple of modifications and restructuring that the Ford Falcon has experienced in its lifetime. Some of these included a slightly upgraded interior as well as different fender trims and a small number of different emblems. Another batch of changes for the Ford Falcon found a couple of new models introduced under the Ford Falcon line up. That same year that new models were introduced, the vehicle also offered a new V8 engine. In 1964, the Ford Falcon line up welcomed a bucket-seat sedan model in its family. At present, the Ford Falcon is commonly used as police vehicles in the New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, Tasmania, the Australian Capital Territory, and the Northern Territory.

Mauna Kea in Hawaii - Driving to the Summit of this Grand Volcano
by: Steven Anderson
The summit of Mauna Kea is called Puu Wekiu and it is at an elevation of 13,796 feet. This is the highest point of land in the Pacific Basin. An interesting fact about Mauna Kea is that if measured from the bottom of the ocean floor, it reaches nearly 30,000 feet which would make it the tallest peak on earth.
Visitors flock to Mauna Kea for a variety of reasons. There are 11 domes and 13 telescopes at the peak of Mauna Kea which attracts professional and amateur astronomers alike. Others come for the amazing viewpoints, unique bird watching and rugged hiking. Others come to Mauna Kea just to say they did so.
The drive up Mauna Kea takes about an hour. At the start, the driver will see typical Hawaiian tropical vegetation. As you pass sea level, the landscape changes to grass pastures and then into raggedy looking forests of koa and ohia trees. These thin...

What Your Car Audio Can Teach You About Marketing
by: Mike Street
Stand next to any road, and every so often a young person will go by with the latest rap CD blaring. If it happens to be a cold day, he (it is always a he) may have the windows up. Then, all you will hear is the thud of the overworked bass speaker in the back. After he turns 30, the young driver probably won?t even be able to hear that, if he continues this unwarranted assault on his ears.
That big bass bin can?t handle the vocal sounds, and the front speakers would melt if they had all those thumps going through them. So the car audio separates out the various frequencies using filters, sending only the bass to the big bins in the back, and only the higher and more delicate sounds to the little speakers at the front. Both, and especially the bass, are then amplified so they are audible in the next county.
Marketers have borrowed the same terminology as a way of looking...

Dogs And Kids In Hot Cars
by: jessica mercier
On a 78-degree day, the temperature inside a shaded car is 90 degrees, while the inside of a car parked in the sun can reach 160 degrees in minutes.
Heatstroke can kill your pet or your child in a very short time!
Please, please do not ever leave your dog or child in a parked car in the summertime or when the temperatures are warm.
If you see a dog or child in a hot car, take down the plate number, make and model of the car and see if the owner can be paged.
Call local authorities such as the police to see if they will free the dog or child by opening the car door.
In many jurisdictions, this is regarded as cruelty to animals and is punishable by law.
In the case of a child it is certainly neglect and is punishable.
Please think, it only takes but a minute to go in a store but worse, it only takes but a few minutes for your best pal or your son...
